I got divorced a little over four years ago and I finally hit the place in my life where I was ready to start dating again. I have two children with my ex husband so finding a decent man is imperative before ever bringing them around my kids. A friend suggested a pretty popular dating website to me to try because that is how she met her husband. I had nothing to lose so I signed up for a profile that next night.

After talking to a few different interesting guys I started paying attention to one in particular. He was a divorcee as well with three children so I felt comfortable when talking to him. I didn’t feel like he judged me or cared that I had been previously married since he had been too. We chatted online and on the phone for about two and a half months before we decided to finally meet up in person. He called me on a Friday and told me to meet him at this little known steakhouse downtown that night for dinner.

When I arrived to the date there was no mistaken who he was because he had on a bright orange tuxedo. Similar to the one Jim Carrey wore in Dumb and Dumber! He was about ten years older than he claimed to be online and about fifty pounds heavier. When I approached him the very first thing that came out of his mouth was “Damn what a nice ass. I would love to bone you!” I politely sighed and walked back to my car. I could not believe this was happening to me. I felt like this was some kind of prank. On my way home I receive six voicemails from him crying. I quickly realized that he was not playing a prank that he was just straight crazy.  That was a date I will never forget.
