Friends Suck !!

I had been divorced for a little over three years so I decided I would get back out there and start dating again. I tried going to a couple of bars and night clubs but I just felt out of place and old. Finally my 20 year old daughter convinced me to try online dating. The concept of talking to someone online without even knowing them was kind of scary to me. So I was very reluctant at first. I didn’t give many details and was kind of guarded and due to that my results were not what I would have wanted.

Finally I decided that I wanted love in my life again, so I would just put myself out there and I did. I started talking to this guy name Steve who sounded like a gentle man. We talked online and on the phone for about 2 months and then we decided that we wanted to meet in person. I spent about 30 minutes getting ready and about an hour freaking out because it had been so long. Finally I pulled everything together and got ready to meet him at the restaurant. I didn’t want him picking me up and knowing where I lived in case it didn’t work out.

When I showed up to the restaurant he had not made it yet so I got a drink at the bar. After about 25 minutes of waiting I tried calling him but got no answer. When I looked up from putting my phone away, I saw my ex husband sitting right across from me. He proceeded to tell me that he paid a friend to act as Steve just to make sure I wasn’t seeing anyone else. I could not believe what I was hearing. I just walk out, stop by the liquor store and got myself a bottle of Jack the only man that never let’s me down .
