Why does there seem to be a huge gap in understanding between younger and older people today? I am a confident and comfortable woman in my forties and I tend to date younger men. However, lately I am finding it harder all the time to find a decent guy to date that isn’t my age or older! For example, my girlfriends and I were having some drinks at a local bar  last weekend and our bartender was very cute! I of course understood he was probably flirting just for a good tip but I slipped him my number anyways. The worst that could happen was he just didn’t call me.

I got a call from him the next day and he wanted to meet up for coffee and get to know me. During our first coffee “date” he was so charming and attentive. He invited me out for the following night to go see a band his friends played in. I needed a night out anyway so I gladly accepted his offer. I meet him at his place for the concert but when I showed up it was apparent we were not going anywhere. His living room was set up with chairs surrounding the TV like a theater. I soon found out that the band his friends were in, was actually a created band on the popular game called Rock Band.

I spent the next three hours watching boys in their late twenties get stoned and ruin some of the songs I grew up listening to. To top it all off at the end of the night, the guy I went there to see got on the game and sang the song “Mandy” to me. My name is not Mandy and on that note I quietly slipped out without anyone noticing.

  1. What is it with so many guys always getting stoned?! Not that we want to see them drunk as skunks either, but why do they always feel the need to be inebriated?!?!?!?! And wow, this dude was SO lame!!!
